PETTICOATS (or skirts in the 21st century lingo) come in a wide variety of solids, stripes and prints.  They are about 130 inches around--the usual for the time period.  At first that may seem to be excessive but after trudging through the mud, chasing an errant child or just strolling through the camp it is important to have enough room to move your legs freely.  The petticoats have one pocket slash on the side and are put on a drawstring at the waist to allow for those thick and thin days.

At our store the drawstring prtticotes are displayed folded and on a shelf (we put the drawstrings in them as they are sold). We've found they stay neater and we can pack more in a box this way. We have plain color cottons, prints and stripes---there's also some linen there too.

Answering the request for "finer fabric" petticotes we've designed several ways to make "fits all" waist-banded petticotes. These can be found hanging on the Turkey Roost porch-lanai-addition-breezeway----what ever---and because of the fabrics and extra work there is a higher price (but gorgeous fabrics).

One can make a number of fashion statements with petticoats--just by using more than one!  Layer them--putting your best one on the top for all to see--then hook up one side, both sides, front, back or all four to show off the bottom one (or two or three) or to keep the hem from the mud or fire, you can also use a bright ribbon to tie up a side and to be really bold--mix solids and stripes, stripes and stripes, or stripes and prints!
